My name is Andrej, I'm an experienced whitewater guide living in the Soča valley. I was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I spent most of my childhood days in the Trenta valley, where our family has a weekend house. I was playing in the surrounding forest, climbing trees, and observing the wildlife. When I got a little older, my siblings started to take me on adventures around the valley. We spent a lot of time by the Soča river, where we practiced kayaking in our father's kayak. He was one of the first people to start doing this sport here, long before we even knew what Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) was. In my teenage years, I kept coming back to the valley every summer to do all kinds of sports. From hiking to climbing, mountain biking to rafting, we did lots of activities, but it was always kayaking that lured me here the most. I fell in love with the emerald Soča river, a river so clean that you can drink it! In the year 2018, I have decided to move to Bovec and I have been living here ever since. I came to work here as a rafting guide, but soon I discovered that I would like to start my own business. At that point, paddleboarding was already very popular everywhere, but there was little presence of it here, so I decided to open the Bovec Paddleboarding agency. Ever since then, guiding people and teaching them to paddle correctly has been my passion. It helps me to fulfill my life's calling, making people happy and smile! During my years of working as a guide, I've gathered a lot of knowledge about water dynamics and safety precautions. That enables me to provide a professional and safe paddling experience for you to enjoy to the fullest.
